I love my DIY mini shoppe. It's inexpensive, and has some great options, plus the shops are cute! I opted for my own graphics, which you can do and get discounts on, but also you can use some of theirs for free!
They also have a forum, crafting cmmunity online and lots of advertisingoptions. The shopping cartis nice, and good. THey help you to get the whole thing set up or you can even pay them to do it for you- although it's not hard at all with step by step instructions and pictures.
I prepaid for a year and got a free domain name and it added up to be $4.16 per month to have that shop.
Not bad! Besides, it's much cuter than etsy or hyena cart. Lots more options too.
Look at my shop and see what I'm talking about:

If you sign up be sure to tell them I referred you please so I can get a free month next year ")

If you live in a small town, under 3000 pop. (maybe it's just the west coast), there's Shop the Frontier - it's very classy and professional.

I sold on eBay for 9 years. The first years were great then it just go so big. Also got too expensive. I love Etsy for cost and ease. But you have to keep new things listed on Etsy about once or twice a week or you get "lost" in the shuffle. And you need to promote it just like you would do with a blog, Picture Trail or My Space. That's the reason we started Farmgirl Flair as an Etsy team. To help promote each other businesses -- strength in numbers. If you decide to open an Etsy please join us!!

Etsy is fabulous, low cost and the customer service has been great in my experience.
