So I am putting together my booth space for an upcoming bazaar. Since I do custom sewing work I was thinking of setting up the booth like a studio. I found a beautiful (headless) mannequin with wooden stand that I'll put a pretty child's size 4 dress on so people can see what clothing I can make and then I'll have available to purchase a quilt or two and a couple wall hangings, some table linens some pillows and soy candles.
What else would y'all suggest to have displayed? If you were considering purchasing custom work would you want to see patterns I already have or fabric I have "on hand"?

I have two of these screens that I'll put on the left and right of the booth with a plain curtain between (along the back) so people can stay focused in my space... the screens actually have a small shelf and a rack and a magazine bucket that hang from the uprights!

Thank you ladies for the suggestions!

I'll let y'all know how it goes next week :)

I would have samples of your fabrics on hand so people can get an idea. I have a hard time visulizing sometimes so having something concrete to whet my appetite really helps!

I have had plenty of experience with shows and setting up booths. Will you need an electrical outlet for lighting, etc., be sure you know the size of your space and that everything will fit into the space provided, also make sure that your screens will not fall over easily. Always have business cards, brochures available and it sounds like you take custom order--have your tape measure handy! Just a few ideas.

Lizabeth, do you do small children's clothing? If so, and you have suitably sized dolls or stuffed bears to 'model' the clothes, that would be darling. Also if you have a portfolio of photos of things you offer you could set that out to be flipped through. Or, a tiny 'clothesline' draped from one screen to the other, with cute little clothespins holding photos of sample items you offer. Wish you MUCH success! Hugs, Nance
