I'm tired of ordering/buying cookbooks that claim they are "old fashioned" or "Grandma's" or "Depression" type cookbooks when the recipes call for a can of this and a box of that and a package of something else full of chemicals. I love MJ's first book and it has become my kitchen/garden "bible" of sorts. But I want to make more variety in the meals I prepare especially now that I have my husband (finally) on the bandwagon.

We come from Nature, we go back to Nature; health & happiness in between requires intimacy with Nature.

Barbara Swell's books are pretty awesome. I have most of them, and she includes lots of stories and lore in addition to the recipes.
