My copy of Cast Iron Kitchen was delivered today. Oh my gosh, it's just... my stomach is growling and my tastebuds are on overdrive as I flip through the pages. I will go back and savor every page like I do with every MJF publication, of course, but it looks like a spectacular book. I've already started figuring out how I can make some of the recipes kosher. Can't wait to try them all!

I tried to make aebleskivers but they didn't turn out so good. I couldn't flip them. I am not giving up though.

Just received Cast Iron Kitchen and I love it. I especially like the recipe Dutch Baby and am looking forward to try lots of the recipes like all of the aebleskiver, and the cinnamon sugar knots. I am going to ask Santa for more cast iron especially the aebleskiver pan and the beautiful cast iron cookbook stand. I really liked the cast-iron restoration and Maintenance section. Thanks for the making such a great cast iron Cookbook.

Type in Wildbread.net and you'll find the chat room. It's new. Lots of great information there on everything to do with her book and flour, equipment. I had been baking yeast breads for a long time so I have bread pans, thermometers, dough whisks, etc.

My kitchen is very cool and so I do use the proofer. Determined to get hubby off supermarket bread and eating whole grain. Wish me luck ladies. So far he's totally fooled by bread made with the kamut/specialty flour.
Today, grandkids are coming over. Check out how Ashley used the Brioche recipe in the Wild Bread chatroom, made some changes and did up some righteous sourdough cinnamon rolls.

Greetings: I also have the Cast Iron Kitchen and recently received Wild Bread. Both books are amazing, actually all MaryJane's books are amazing! I have been reading more through Wild Bread and am excited about getting started, making bread is new to me! I started to look on-line for the suggested equipment for the beginner. Oh my, the items will be costly. Are there any experienced bread makers out there, or beginners, that have suggestions about the equipment they will be using without purchasing new items? Also, our home is on the cool side, especially the kitchen until summer, doesn't sound like 'mother' would be happy in our kitchen without the bread proofer/yogurt maker. Again suggestions? Many thanks!

I am GOING TO GET THIS come the first of February!!! I looked at the copy and the recipes are RIGHT up my alley! I have purchased 3 cast iron skillets from yard sales and they need seasoning but I can't wait! Thanks for sharing your experience!

YOu have to try the scalloped potato recipe in a cast iron pot!!!OMG the best ever!
