Posted - Jan 09 2014 : 5:47:25 PM I would love a book that puts all the DIY projects in one place, such as making your own taco seasoning, hot sauce, etc. I sort through lots of web sites to find the ones that work, but one place... just an idea.

Posted - May 20 2014 : 02:03:23 AM I made a notebook of PInterest recipes I have liked. This also holds recipes from friends and family's favorite recipes. It sure comes in handy. I have full 8x11 sheets so I can make notes or have pics off of pinterest. My cookbooks are becoming obsolete. |

Posted - May 13 2014 : 04:15:59 AM I am gathering the three ring binder and page protectors NOW. I have all kinds of things to fill up a whole binder.....just needed your push to do this. I like the idea of letting the books and magizines go once I get the info out of them.... Reduce, reuse, recycle...
Hugs and prayers, Daizy

Posted - Feb 10 2014 : 7:57:03 PM I bough a regular school-sized three-ring binder and stocked it with those vinyl protector pocket pages you can buy for single pages, 3x5 index cards, etc.. I keep scans, printouts, magazine tear-outs or handwritten recipe cards in that. It's very handy. I've been able to keep the best recipes from old books and give the books away. I've gained a lot of storage space and it's nice to have everything organized in one spot.
I bought cute fabric to make a "book cover" for the notebook and even cut out the shapes for it. One of these days, I'll sew them together. *sigh* |

Posted - Jan 11 2014 : 04:45:08 AM There are several cookbooks that have come out recently that do just that. One is called "The Homemade Pantry." See if your local library has it.

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 6:00:19 PM Oh my, I'm inspired. Hand written cards of DIY projects as a gift. This is something my niece would enjoy. And I even have the photo album to put them in.

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 03:54:34 AM How about a photo album with 5x7 slots for recipe cards that have your favorite tips, recipes, and pictures in. I probably I have 10 big photo albums full of house, DIY, etc ideas I had collected before Pinterest started. Now I am collecting recipes like making my own dishwasher, laundry, hand soap. I agree with your hubby, I worry about someday when they won't be there anymore. |
