hi, i have been working on my first attempt at braiding a rug with yarn. it's a circle that now has taken on the shape of a big floppy hat, or fruit bowl. i realize that it must be due to sewing braids too tightly at a certain point. my question is this..... how do i loosen problem area without taking completely apart. thanks so much

You could also try attaching it to a rug pad that would help it hold its shape.

um no you do have to tear it back you do not want to put that much time in to this type of project to have an inferior item when done that will tear itself apart because you are trying to make it stretch out with out the fabric in it to do so. here are some tutorials I did a while back to help you in making your rug good luck happy to answer questions just ask.

I would love to trade products for a nice braided rug if anyone is interested.

If you wet it and stretch it in those places and then lay it flat to dry, that should help. I had this same problem when I did my first rug. also if you can lay some heavy on it to hold it in place that works great!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?
