OMG!! I finally got it from the library. I love it. It is like a visit from a good friend. It is on my Christmas wish list!!!!

I am so ready to try sourdough bread and bake overs.

This is the best book I have had in years.

Could the Ideas book be made available in England? The postage from the States is often more than the cost of the book itself. The only place I can find it so far in England is secondhand on Amazon.co.uk at $80 - $160+ (£50-100)!!!!! :/

My library didn't have them, so I requested them from other libraries. I got to peak through the Idea Book at a friends house. She just picked it up at her library without even knowing that I was going to tell her about this site and the Magazine when I went to visit her. As soon as I did, she got right up and found the book. It is a wonderful book. I need one of my own!

Finally ordered mine yesterday. wa-hooo! It should be here in plenty of time to take camping with me soon. This will be my camping buddy when the hubby & kids are off on their own adventures. ahhhh!
Update 7/10: Wheee! It came in the mail today. I was impressed when I opened it and found it wrapped in recycled newspaper! That made me very happy. Just hope I can keep from reading it all before camping!

I just got my autograph copy yesterday from my "Windy Pines" cousin, Michele. Thanks so much for the wonderful birthday gift! I know I'll spend hours pouring over it! The photographs are gorgeous!

I checked the 'Ideabook' out of the library. Awesome! Renewed it for 2 more weeks. What a journey and so many ideas to use today. Loved the Outback section, tales of the people there and the great peace. Keeping the dream alive.

I received the books last year for Christmas. I still enjoy the stories, pictures, and all the wonderful ideas. I sometimes just get a cup of tea and thumb through the books after a stressful day at work. I find that the books "ground me". Barbara

Alee, you worded that wonderfully. I agree with you all! Actually having a cup of tea like Brenda, & enjoying MJ's writings and the kindred spirit we all share... gives me a lot of peace & warm fuzzies all over :-)

I love all three of her books- and the magazines too! I have them at work so I can read them on my breaks and give me a bit of peace and calm on stressful days! Some people have the those stress squeezy balls and I have my MaryJane's magazines and books! :D

I have to say, when I bought this book over 5 years ago, I fell in love again. I fell in love with my home, my family and my farm. I realized that there are kindred spirits out there who live "in the shelter of each other," and who value the work of heart and hands. What a treasure...

XOXO, Libbie

I read mine over and over - it always provides inspiration when I get caught up in the stress of everyday life, and gives me a reminder of how I want to live my life!

Amy when you get your own, you will be looking through it all the time. I love just sitting down with MJF books and have my cup of tea and I go into dream world of the farm I'd love to have. And fixing it up with all my homemade crafts. Enjoy!
