Today my hubby took me on a ride through the New England country side... While driving slowly down the back roads after visiting with my inlaws in their old farm house I was looking, o.k.(day dreaming) out the window at all the old farmhouses, barns, and cranberry bogs along the way. My mind drifted to Mary Janes Farm and the farmgirl fellowship.. It dawned on me that so many of the stories readers write and submit to the magazine are born in places just like the one I was driving through...

Then it hit me...

Mary Jane... are you listening What about a book that's made up of selected stories, poems, and guest writers articles since the beginning of the magazine? I see farm photo's old and new scattered throughout the pages!

When I read those stories they bring such comfort and inspiration to me. They take me to places I have been and long to go,if only in my mind and heart..

Just blowing another dandelion seed out there...!

Is it worthy of taking root?

What do you say farmgirls?

Thanks Shirly!
Which articles are your's? I would love to read them! I have two articles published too! A Pinin for Pickets in the Feb/Mar issue and Make Each Day Your Masterpiece in the Oct/Nov issue... both 2009...

I like the idea because it would be a book of " farmgirl" stories and a journal all in one!

I love each section of the magazine as much as the Readers Write section...so I'm not playing favorites either I remember being so impressed reading my first issue, with the way the magazine featured it's readers words. It makes them a real " feature" of the magazine and adds such a richness to the overall content. In many ways, Mary Janes Farm isn't like most magazines... it feels more like a "place" to me!

Thanks for putting in your 2 cents here Shirly!
I went to your blog.. very nice.. I like your photo of the Keeping in Touch pages with all the pretty things around it!

Hope to hear from others too~

I like this idea, and not just because I have had two articles published in the first issues!!! :) And to add a journal page to each article so that a reader could add their own thoughts. Great idea.

That's a great idea Bonnie!

You could write down your own special memories and inspirations that each story or blog post brings up for you! Sort of like and Inspirational Journey through the art of Story Telling... Yes! I like it!

Thanks for brainstorming...!

How about that kind of book with journal pages in between where you can write your thoughts about the stories? Bonnie

Here's another one! How about a book of the Mary Janes Farmgirl blog's posts someday?
That would be great to have on your night stand at night too!

Brainstorming is fun!
