Posted - Apr 17 2008 : 05:30:22 AM Hi there. I'm ginny (aka ginnymae) and I'm pretty new to the Fargirl Connection. I started a thread asking for input on some feed sack purses and I was welcomed warmly by you girls. Thank you!
I have twin daughters (17), a hubby, a dog, two cats, a ten year old pet turkey, a goose and 4 hens. Oh, and some goldfish in a pond. I am currently on a waiting list for a pair of Babydoll lambs. I live in a sweet little 105 yr old Victorian house and I'm fortunate to have the summer kitchen to use a my studio. It was a falling down shack up until we rehabbed it a year ago and I'm really enjoying the space. Now I can make big messes and walk away at the end of the day! ;0)
I'm glad I found this place - y'all seem like a lot of fun.

Posted - Apr 17 2008 : 09:41:05 AM That is a quote from my Lebanese great grandmother. I guess it was her version of "the apple didn't fall too far from the tree." We use it often in my family when somebody does something that reminds us of her mother/aunt/grandma. Somebody commented that my daughters are very creative and my mom said "Well, they didn't get it from a gypsy..."
I don't know if I explained it very well, but there you have it. ;0)
My other favorite of hers is, "A horse trottin' would never notice." It's like saying "don't sweat the small stuff." If something's not perfect, most people won't notice.
