I know it's kinda early, but the New Year is upon us and if were going to make some old fashioned Valentines we need to get started. This idea was born in the Christmas card exchange, which went very well, but now my mailbox is sad without all those cards coming in, so like I posted over there, I want to do a old fashioned Valentine swap like you use to when we were kids, you know, make your own Valentines out of anything you want for each farmgirl who signs up for the exchange. Since this may add up, I figure the sooner we get started the better. So, put your thinking caps on and unleash your creative side and sign up if you want to send and recieve some homemade Valentines! Sign up will close Jan. 15.

I'm glad to hear that mine finally got to you all. I don't remember the date (before Valentine's Day) I mailed them, but I mailed one to my mom at the same time and she just got it yesterday (the 21st)! Where it was for all that time, I have no idea. She only lives 3 hrs. from me in VA so it's not like it had to go that far.

This WAS fun and I cherish all that I received. Thank you again!

Vanessa

PS~I finally did it and took the plunge into Blog Land.

Oh, we got snowed in yesterday. I hope hubby can go get the mail today. It has been such a wonderful swap. Thank you, ladies. Nancy, I love the velvet heart box idea to keep them in. I was thinking of a scrapbook and planning ways to store them so they can be opened up and handled once more. Now I think a box would be much easier. I think I can cover one and use it. Thanks for the idea.

Hi girls, I really have loved this valentine exchange, I know my heart box is filled right to the top. I love looking at them. Haven't decided what to do with them yet. Maybe leave them right where they are. If I put them in a scrap book I won't be able to see the whole card. The velvet heart box seems to be the perfect place for them.

I have had so much fun doing this that the coffee table in the living room is still covered with (neatly) papers and stickers etc. so anyone who would randomly come by could make their own cards. Nobody comes by but I'm ready. MB

I feel so bad.
Erin in Dallas. The card that I mailed to you came back to me. I must have the zip wrong.
I will work on it. You may not get it until after Valentines day. Sorry about that.
