God reached out His finger, Dipped it in white, Then painted our world With snow through the night! What a wonderful waking In the new chill of morn To the clean glow of brightness... Yes! Winter is born!
:)
Happy day! I'm heading to make my son a wake-up cup of cocoa... He's going to love this!
Talk to me girls... And please post YOUR pics of the first fallen snows in your neighborhoods!

Posted - Nov 12 2013 : 12:50:08 PM It hadn't occurred to me just how many of you lack the big piles of white stuff! Well, hopefully more of our sisters will post pics and fun stories for you to share! :) Our snow in the front yard has almost completely melted away, but the back yard is sticking strong... Must be because our house is so close to the main road. I'm sure this is just the first of many to come, and by mid- to late- February, I'll be whining, but right now? BLISS!

Posted - Nov 12 2013 : 10:49:02 AM We almost never get snow here. When we do the snow usually melts that day. We have had some good rains the last month. Some neighbors baled hay again last week. Our pastures and yards are beautiful and green. Tonight we will get our first freeze of the year with temps headed to the middle 20s. All my plants that are in pots were moved into the garage yesterday. I have plenty of grow lights over them . Tonight I will put frost cloths over them to keep them cozy. Alvin moved the cattle to warmer pastures and fed them. I refilled the bird feeders. I have chicken, carrots, onions, and potatoes in the crockpot for dinner tonight. We have gas logs that will be burning tonight while watching NCIS. Love spending my time making good days.
