Hey Fall Loving Farmgirls!

Nini and I wanted to have a special place on board where we could all participate in celebrating Autumn. So, we have collaborated and come up with some special threads in honor of the Fall season. So be sure to check other Celebrating Fall threads

The air is nippy, the leaves are slowly starting to change, children are hopping on the bus on their way to school. Fall is right around the corner. So, grab yourself a nice hot cup of tea or coffee (or cocoa) and let's share!

Please post your favorite Autumn Craft & Decorating ideas, links, photos and more in anticipation of Autumn

Yay CJ!!! Beautiful! I love the colors too!

Kristina, beautiful leaves. I wish that we got a little bit more than the golden Aspen at times.

I picked up my first fall leaves for pressing. It's only a few from my property, but plan to go hiking for more.

Just a peek in my house

This is on my dining table

On one end of our entertainment center. (My hubby is a woodturner and he turned the larger piece in the back. A woodturner friend of his turned the small bowl as a gift to me)

Hey everyone, we had a bit of cooler temperatures last night and the humidity is slightly down so I did some more Fall decorating.

Here is my front porch.

Here is our Family room Mantle.

Too bad we can't put a fire in that fireplace yet!

Looking forward to more real weather changes that might be possible in October!!

Shanda...what pretties you have:)...I love Fall too! I keep adding a little here and a little there...I have a huge ceramic pumpkin(the size of a real pumpkin)it has sunflowers painted on it and says "Harvest Blessings"...I have a satin like table runner and table cloths to match in off white with sunflowers and leaves embroidered on them...that is only a couple of things I have out...I collect pumpkins and find numerous places to put them for decorating...I bought some real gourds the other day that I have on my kitchen table...so fun to decorate this time of year...CJ...I love the candles burning this time of year also...so warm and cozy...I love maple scents...have an electric tart warmer with maple scented tarts that I have been using the past couple of weeks...smells so good:):):)

Hugs!

I am loving this cool weather! We have all the windows open, all day and night. Gets down to low 50s outside, we just throw on a warm quilt and enjoy the breeze! Here is a table topper I made using a tunisian crochet hook, I really like how it turned out. The blue is a bit bright, but it brings in a little pop of color with all my orange-y stuff!

Enjoy fall y'all!
Blessings

Finally, got the decor color scheme in my bathroom changed out. It's not really fall, more shabby chic, but in pastel shades of teal and peach. It's just part of my regular "fall decorating" routine.
Perhaps I can do the actual FALL in my living room and kitchen this weekend . . we'll see

Linda, the soap flowers sound cute. Have you tried making them with Fall leaves instead of flowers?

Connie, I am going to check out that website :)

I forgot to tell you. In the fall, my sister cuts silk Fall flowers dips them in in her melted glycerine soap and when they dry we put them in the guest bath for people to wash their hands with. They are pretty and festive.

I love Fall, too. Arttie, I love the pine cone lamp.. My house is real cabin like also. And my colors are the oranges, greens, yellows, reds, so it is like having Fall all year round. I decorate with pine cones, acorns, and leaves. And I cook lots of pumpkin stuff. So enjoy this web site.

I saw a stack of pumpkins caved like tiki statue faces that looked amazing and fun that I may try. It's so windy here and often so rainy that it's really hard to have outside decor that doesn't just blow over or away. Inside I like to use nature to decorate with, bowls of acorns and rose hips, small pine cones...I made an autumn leaf garland once and want to try it again this year. You just dip the leaves in melted wax or pain it on and dry them on sheets of waxed paper tie little thread or thing twine loops on the stems and string them so that they have space between them to dangle LOTS of candles, bowls of apples. I have a heavy crochet lace table cloth that always comes out in autumn too. I love to bring autumnal flowers in but my cats always eat them, so that isn't worth the struggle to fend them off. I want to go get a lot of cinnamon and make some ginger bread men and orange pomanders to hang around the house and some for the Christmas tree later. I love spicy smells! A gf made some last year and her house smelled heavenly!

Sharon- Are your photos too big? Try resizing them smaller and see if that solves the problem. That usually works for me when I am having issues.

Yesterday, I went out and purchased the Yankee Candle scent "Harvest". Gotta have the ambiance as the temps rage on in the low 90s!!
