So we take down all of our decorations on the 1sts and pack them up...

Hubby helped me put away the white tree in our bathroom (I know, but it's a huge bathroom). He loved that tree so much, that now he wants to add a silver one to our Christmas.

Pam...The silver tree sounds oh so beautiful. I love trees we only had 1 big one and 3 small to medium trees up this year. They are so fun to theme differently. Congrats!

Blessings

My dad and step -mom gave me an antique silver aluminum Christmas tree and color wheel this year for Christmas. it is just like the one that we had when I was a little girl. As a young child, I would lay on the floor, enchanted as the wheel turned and a rainbow of colors moved across the tree. The original tree, a gift from my great-great uncle for my first Christmas, has long since disappeared. I will treasure this "new" old tree from my parents. I think that I will watch for 60's vintage bulbs to put on it next year. It's fun to start thinking about next Christmas, and I haven't even taken down this year's trees yet (I have 3 full-size trees up and several table top trees too).

Ooooh! Kristina! Won't that be pretty? One of my favorite holiday documentaries annually featured here by PBS is called "Happy Holidays in Pittsburgh" by Rick Sebak. If your local library can get hold of it for you, you and your hubby just HAVE to check it out! Part of it features a local jeweler who collects aluminum Christmas trees with color wheels. I just love how sparkly they look! You can read a little bit about aluminum Christmas trees by visiting Alcoa's website at http://www.alcoa.com/global/en/about_alcoa/time_machine/time_machine_html.asp You will need to scroll about 4/5 of the way down the page to read it. There you will also find a link there where you can download Alcoa's brochure on "How to Decorate Your Aluminum Christmas Tree," from 1959... SO COOL!!! When I was growing up, our next door neighbor had one - I just loved it. I was always mesmerized by all the sparkling little lights. My mother-in-law also had one when my husband was growing up - stories about it are some of the holiday memories his brothers and sisters treasure most! Well, anyway, I hope you get to see the video and visit the Alcoa site - I think you and your hubby will enjoy them very much! When you do get a silver tree, PLEASE post pictures!!! Hugs - Nini

Cool. Go for it. When I was married to my first husband, we had a huge house. 7 bedrooms, formal living.......I had a different themes Xmas tree in EVERY room of the house. Bathrooms included.

I still have 2 trees in my little house now. I love the Xmas trees. And now is the time to buy them for next year. They are on sale everywhere.

If he is willing to help decorate and pack stuff away.....I say Go For It!
