Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 08:28:50 AM Hello Everybody! I'm so excited that Autumn is starting! It is such a cozy time.... What are some of your favorite things about autumn? Here are some of mine! : I love the food, all the pumpkin and spice things, baking with my mama, cozy fuzzy pajamas and robes, warm slippers, hot tea in the morning and evening, tractor rides, the leaves - the smell of leaves is amazing!! - , candles burning, spending time with family, the moon that is just so magic looking, the beautiful autumn night sky, ghost stories with my little brother, and putting up fall decorations like we do every year with my mama (: Tell me what yours are! Have a blessed day - Mia

Posted - Aug 31 2012 : 10:01:31 AM Oh thank goodness I'm not alone, Diana! :) I'm a summer girl, too, and we get so little of it here in Seattle that it's always very sad for me when autumn rolls around. (Can't say I've had to deal with any frogs, cows, or hunters though.) Admittedly there's something to be said for curling up in a cozy blanket with a good book on a cold, rainy day...but not for the next 10 months straight!

Posted - Aug 29 2012 : 3:20:41 PM I Don't much care for fall I am a summer girl I love it hot and sunny. I will be having frogs in the Hot tub Cows in the garden, no fence is strong enough or tall enough for the free range cows we have around here. I won't get to see my grand kids because of school starts in the fall.I will have to watch all my pets so hunters won't shoot them or me.The mice start to come in. and I have allergy's to dead leaves. So let it go right to winter.

Posted - Aug 21 2012 : 05:16:48 AM I love everything about it. I've always loved the fall season but only figured out why a little while ago - it's because I love being cozy and comfy. Autumn is just full of warm, comforting, beautiful things!

Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 5:41:44 PM I love all the seasons, my favorite being spring when everything is coming back to life. Autumn is a reprive from the heat, and a bountiful harvest of great food, pumpkin pie, turkey with the works, etc. etc. etc.

Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 4:04:37 PM Lori, you are more than welcome to come on down any time! I mean that. Just give me a day to get things cleaned up! We would, indeed, have fun! I guess you like gumbos...... You know what else I love about fall, the first time I go out in the morning and it is cold enough for a long sleeve shirt! Marly

Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 10:16:04 AM I love the colors of Autumn. Give me a walk with leaves falling and I'm a happy girl. I also love the slower pace of life as summer is always busy. Putting the garden to bed and working more in the home on crafts is also a welcome time.
hugs, -missy-

Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 09:42:52 AM Our temperature is supposed to dip down to 70 degrees tonight. For SW Louisiana, that is cool weather. A sign of fall on the way? I hope so!! I love when the leaves start to fall, I even love raking those leaves, I love the colors of fall, and I love to watch my outside cats run all over the yard chasing leaves and dragon flies. Marly

Posted - Aug 20 2012 : 08:47:58 AM Mia-- In addition to everything you listed, I would add apple picking! North Georgia has delicious apples! Do you go there to some of the U-Pick farms ? I also love Merciers in Blue Ridge. Plus taking the Blue Ridge train ride in the fall and sitting in the open car is really fun and a great way to see the farms.
