i bought one of these .. haven't tried it yet .. but it's on the 'to-do' list!

find the tiniest ears of corn that you can .. the ones i saw looked to be those little 'baby ears' no more than a few inches long!

pick all the 'kernels' off the cob

quickly dip the cob into bees wax or some other clear wax .. you just want the faintest of wax coating .. might even try lightly brushing it on! sprinkle lightly with cinnamon before the wax dries ... might even try to add the cinnamon to the warm wax and stir it (remember .. i haven't actually tried this yet .. i'll experiement with all these methods).

then take snippets of dried corn husk that has been dried .. might want to 'stain' it a little with some coffee then re-dry if you are going for a more 'primitive' look.

take these little snippets of corn husk and only put a couple of them around the little 'corn-let' .. making sure that much of the cob is exposed. tie it off at the bottom of the cob with a VERY thin piece of 'rusty' wire.

VOILA! make a bunch of these and pile them in a wooden bowl!

cute 'autumn' holiday decoration! xo
