I am so excited! Longest night of the year! I gave my babies their Solstice Slippers this morning (Two of them will not be home tomorrow morning...they will be with their dad...so we did Solstice morning gifts a morning sooner...:( )

We will light a candle at Sunset (or as close to sunset as possible...I get out of work after the sun sets...) and it will burn all through the long night.

This is a very different Solstice for me and the kids this year. Our celebrations have been altered to cater to the divorce and the parenting plan and the addition of my Fella as part of our family. There is no Solstice baking this year. We have no forest to put out popcorn seed balls for the birds. There is a lot we are not doing...but it's good.

This time of year is about the old passing and the dark succumbing to the light. We are keeping the light in our hearts always and carrying it with us into the newness...

I am thrilled for the year ahead.

Merry Yuletide to you all....
