Just curious. We try to go all handmade, including kids class cards and treats.

In the morning I make heart shaped pancakes and the kids and leave little love/valentines notes around. Then in their lunch packs I do heart shaped sandwiches, love note, confetti and a sweet treat. For dinner we have a special valentines meal and set the table together with candles etc.. I also get them a toy/ gift. I love valentines day and decorations almost as much as 4th of July.

We make Valentine cards! My mother did, we kids did for school...my kids did for school, and we do for one another. This year, just for my kids, but sometimes I do a treat or card for friends, and I am making cookies for work. My 'kids' are 22 to 31!
When my husband was alive, he had a hard time getting into the spirit of fun until we got a computer with a card-making program. After that I got a card every year!

Besides remembering my family on Valentine's day with thoughtful cards and lots of hugs because you just can't have too many..... my other tradition is to be sure and visit the local Cancer Center in my community with a bag filled with Fashion Chemo Caps. That's because Cancer is a thief that robs people of their happiness. I know about this only too well when my husband got his cancer diagnosis right on our anniversary. That was in 2008. So every Valentine's Day since then, I think it's only fair to put love and joy right back into Valentine's Day for the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy by taking these cheerful and fancy Chemo Caps for the patients which lets them know that they are loved and not alone in their battle to beat cancer. I have heard from the Cancer Center in my community that the patients love the hats and are coming back with their hats coordinated to their outfits. As for my hubby, he is a Cancer Survivor and an inspiration to me to continue with my chemo cap making and designing.

Happy Valentine's Day to my Farmgirl Sisters with love and hugs!

I make homemade dark chocolate truffles and dark chocolate candies. I also make steaks, potatoes, and a vegetable side of some kind. I always give my husband a card and the truffles, my sons get the candies. I think they look forward to the goodies.
