Is anyone else a sucker for Christmas music ? I love it especially the oldies like Andy Williams and Bing Crosby. My mother used to play these and it's not Christmas without them. so I've been listening already, we even have a radio station that plays nothing but Christmas music so I can listen in the car too.

Always love carols-and am enjoying playing them on uke, mando, and fiddle. My fave album is still "The Little Drummer Boy" by the Harry Simone Choral as it brings back memories of wonderful childhood Christmas'. I'm also always looking for newer recordings too-recently discovered "A Scottish Christmas" by Bonnie Rideout and it has traditional songs I've never heard before.

Wow! My son would be so proud of all of you! Like Peg he would listen to it 24/7 as well as watch Christmas movies! I love it too but I did have to ban the movies until after Halloween! (He has so many it takes that long to see them all.) I love most Christmas music but one of my favorites is the Bing Crosby & David Bowie version of little Drummer Boy. One I truly don't care for was just released this year by The Black Eyed Peas. I saw them perfom it on Oprah and was not impressed. It just doesn't seem right to make the Little Drummer Boy sexy! YIKES! Oh well...each to their own. Here's hoping each of you have a safe and blessed Christmas surrounded by those you love and love you back.

My favorite Christmas CDs are Kathy Mattea "Good News", Sarah McLachlan "Wintersong", and I just got Annie Lennox's new one, "Christmas Cornucopia" which is quite interesting. Both Good News and Wintersong have been played over and over for years at our house.

My kids just saw the Taubl family's concert in Worcester, MA and absolutely loved their music.
Just google Taubl family- their Christmas CD is just beautiful!
My teenage boys love Chris Thomlin, Reliant k, Josh Wilson.
Mom also loves Evie, Amy Grant, Casting Crowns... all great Christmas music that can be found on I-Tunes.
Merry Christmas!!!

One of my all time favorite CD's is John Berry's, I think it is called O Holy Night. Just beautiful Christmas music!

Love it! However, hate Madonna's version of "Santa Baby". She sounds like such a spoiled brat whereas Miss Eartha Kitt purred right through it. I prefer the older Christmas music. Some of these remakes hurt my teeth.

I love all Christmas music! I love listening to it, and I think we should listen to it all year round:) I like most of the oldies, ones that were sung by "crooners" like Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole.

I SO love Christmas music and have been listening to it on my stereo in my sewing room since early November. Nothing like the oldies and the classics........reminds me of making Christmas cookies and decorating the tree and house when I was a young'un. Sniff!

I found an artist I really like who is a pianist named Jo Davidson. She's very young and has such talent. I actually 'found' her through this website......you outta give her a try!

that was so neat Marian, thank you for sharing I am so thrilled that so many love the music too. I'm hoping it helps me bring back some holiday cheer and combat the feeling of not being able to measure up materialistically with the kids

1. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hoch heilige Paar.
Holder Knab' im lockigen Haar,
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!

2. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb' aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da uns schlägt die rettende Stund'.
Jesus in deiner Geburt!

3. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Die der Welt Heil gebracht,
Aus des Himmels goldenen Höhn,
Uns der Gnaden Fülle läßt sehn,
Jesum in Menschengestalt!

4. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Wo sich heut alle Macht
Väterlicher Liebe ergoß,
Und als Bruder huldvoll umschloß
Jesus die Völker der Welt!

5. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Lange schon uns bedacht,
Als der Herr vom Grimme befreit
In der Väter urgrauer Zeit
Aller Welt Schonung verhieß!

6. Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Alleluja,
Tönt es laut bei Ferne und Nah:
"Jesus der Retter ist da!"

I love Christmas music! I don't know if I can pick a favorite but I know that the month of December is not enough time to enjoy all of the Christmas music. I have been listening for a couple of weeks already.
