Ok, I LOVE decorating for Halloween. Maybe it has to do with the fact it's my birth month, but I love anything creepy, orange, black, or purple. Lol. This year, I put creepy black cheesecloth over all my lamps and my mantle is sporting headstones, a skeleton and a black cat and a rat. Anyone else enjoy this holiday???

Good Sam!
We love pictures. I'm working on another of those felt decorations. A black cat with the moon behind her. I was thinking I'd get brave and sew some beads to make a collar for her. Something like a diamond collar sparkling in the moonlight.
Yep, my work had been delayed another week, so I'm thinking of making tombstones and whatnot for the front yard now.
I like getting my bike out and riding around town looking at everyone else's yard decorations. There's some who are really creative.
Maybe I should take pictures and post them here. We could get ideas!

Carla, your wall hanging/door hanging is gorgeous! You do beautiful work! I too love Fall, and of course Halloween...it's my fav because you really don't have to clean or entertain. I love pumpkins and candles that bring in the smell of Fall. I have apple, pumpkin, and a caramel pecan one I got at Walmart for the kitchen but it is so nice here right now that I don't light them yet as I have all the windows open. I need to get out there and do some Halloween decorating. I did for Fall but I have 2 ghosts that I hang from my trees in the front yard and more stuff in the basement that I haven't dragged out yet. It is gorgeous here today 72 and the leaves are turning color and falling and I need to hang a load of clothes on the line too. I'll take some pics and post later when I'm done. More pictures people! Oh, and F.Y.I. www.lowes.com has all kinds of great ideas for decorating for Halloween too! There were some really cute ones! Check it out.

I love Halloween too. But Carla, you did a beautiful job on you door hanging. At one time I had over 600 Halloween fabrics. I guess I really do like that holiday (lol)

I love fall and halloween! I start decorating in September inside the house and a bit later outside. This year I planted some mums in the front yard with a pumpkin in the middle. And right behind that I have a three-headed scarecrow thingy. Also have more mums and a pumpkin on my front porch. Inside I have mostly orange, brown, yellow, and deep red flower arrangements. With a few colored candles and small pumpkins scattered about.

Isn't that funny Nicole, I'm the same way. My favorite colors are in the blue/green ranges, but I love all this fall oranges and reds.

Watched The Raven last night.

We enjoy decorating for Halloween, but we definitely pull OUTSIDE in during this time of year.

Text The kids have just done some early Fall "pruning" on some of our most favorite trees that are ablaze in Fall Color. Our home is decorated with gorgeous branches, leaves and such. We've got a bunch of lovely branches adorning our home.

While I love all holiday decorations, I live in a itty-bitty home and don't have extra storage for a lot of decorations, so its mostly Christmas and Autumn that I decorate for and of course carving Jack O'lanterns and stacking them up my steps =)

Oh, thank you Dawn!
I'm pleased, especially since I've never done anything like that before. It was lots of fun!

Sherrie, I thought I was the only one that kept the Vincent Price movies for this time of year [all though mine are more of the funny ones like Comedy of Terrors and The Raven and such. [I'm campy, I know!]

I decorate more the Hallmark Halloween way. I start putting up my autumn decorations in September and now have added the Halloween ones.

Carla, that is a beautiful felt decoration! You did a superb job!

I love decorating for Halloween. It's the one holiday I can never seem to find exactly what I want, but I love the colors, and fun about it all!

Hey Nicole,
I have a pumpkin problem too!
Every year when a new ceramic or fabric pumpkin comes out I just have to add it to my fall collection.

Cute!!! I love to decorate for Halloween. It's my favorite, although I don't like particularly creepy ones. More "cute" ones. And I have a strange obsession with pumpkins...

As a matter of fact, I finally got my October felt decoration done and up on the front door. This is the first time I've sewn on felt.

Oh for sure. I decorate every Halloween. I have a witch that is made of PVC pipe with hay string for hair and she looks as if she has crashed into the tree. Just made her new clothes last year. She goes up Oct. 1st every year. We also have a black cat made of wood that goes out and lots of mums. A black door wreath with purple bats on it. Mostly harvesty looking stuff inside the house. I love this time of year.

I've put my scarecrow up but am not going to put out the Halloween decorations untill October.
I like to make the decorations for the yard. That way there's something different every year.
Your house sounds cool Amanda!
