Posted - Sep 13 2010 : 11:49:07 AM I started this a couple years ago, I make holiday pillow cases for my girls, HB gets one, ok, me too. I start for Halloween and make everyone a pillow case that is reflective of halloween, little kitties, mummies, skulls with pink bows on top of their heads, then comes Christmas, on Thanksgiving night everyone gets a Christmas theme one. Valentine's Day, we all get one again. If the girls are dating anyone, I make one for them as well. If they bring people for Thannksgiving, whomever is at the table gets one.....
I dont know, it gives me something to do for them, something for them to get in the mail, and knowing that I am thinking of them.
Oh, I should tell you, the 'girls' are in college.....

Posted - Oct 10 2010 : 6:31:42 PM Oh my goodness! I just LOVE this idea. Sydnee (my dd) has learned to make a sweet pillow case and I think doing one for every holiday might just get her sewing mojo cooking again. Hum....turkey/ camo hunting theme for Thanksgiving?
We live in the crazy "Wilds of Pa" wear the most wild things around the week after Thanksgiving is the HUNTERS!
I am so going to start this off as a tradition. Something I could do for my nephews as well. They would DIG IT!
Thanks for the idea, Rejena

Posted - Sep 14 2010 : 09:57:47 AM No, I dont embroider them. They have alot of pattern every which way so I dont think that you could see it. Besides, my machine is one I got at age 16, I am 48 yrs old now. It goes forward, backwards and make buttone holes. Very simple and less to break.
