Posted - May 17 2010 : 06:34:29 AM Delicia, I like to make a cake and decorate it with cool whip and put strawberries in rows and blueberries in the corner to make it look like a flag. I saw it in a magazine once. I like to use angel food cake in a 9x13 pan. Makes a lighter recipe.
I also found a cute little basket to hold paper plates and utensils. It is decorated with red and blue stripes and stars. Sometimes I mix red and white tablecloth with blue and white napkins just to give the patriotic look to everything. You can find some of those at the dollar store.
We are planning a picnic too. Hope you have fun!
