DH and I had originally planned to get dressed up in costumes and go out with some friends of ours. Due to some unforseen circumstances we've had to cancel our plans.

Now, instead we are staying home, making carmel corn and watching the Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Bing Crosby version) and The Great Pumpkin. I'm sure people look at our lives and wonder how we can stand to be so "boring" but we really look forward to these kinds of things. And we really like staying home and hanging out together.

Anyone else have "exciting" Halloween plans?

We had to change plans because Scott is in the hospital. I went to Walgreens and bought some $1 toys and things and loaded up his pumpkin. I will leave it on the porch and have him answer the door and think the "Great Pumpkin" came. I am going to let him spray his hair and wear his robot "glasses" while he hands out candy. It is supposed to be below 30 and raining by 5 tonight. Charlie has more fun answering the door than walking around. : ) Simple.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I am going to dress up like Suzy Homemader (1950's esk with apron and heels) and Nora is going to be Cinderella!

We have friends that always have a huge Halloween bash. It is like a fairyland for the kids. I will take the youngest grandkids. Hubby is going as "Dog the Bounty Hunter", if I can find a wig for him. I can't decide what I'll be. Any suggestions?

As an adult I was never much into Halloween until we bought our old house - wow it is great to decorate for trick or treaters. It only takes a few items to make our house scary. So now I look forward to Halloween and all the neighbor kids coming to our house for candy. Even DH gets a kick out of giving away the treats. We also will probably watch the legend of sleepy hallow (johnny depp version) that night as well. Not super exciting but fun for us.

We dont do Halloween but we did have a Harvest Festival today with a band and great food and all the fun old things like apples in a barrel of water and apples hung from strings where you had to catch on in your teeth without using your arms or hands. Pin the top on the pumpkin and lots of great homemade food and a big BBQ since it was at a friends ranch and they have angus cattle. And love the carmel apples. But everyone was healthy or they stayed home ~Beth~

Hi Sarah:
I love Halloween! However, I am such a spook. There is no way I'll watch a scarey movie on Halloween. Now, maybe the day after I could. But, for Halloween, we'll have goodies ready for the kiddies. We live out in the country and most of the neighborhood kids are grown-up and gone. We'll sit outside hoping to have trick or treaters. Hope y'all have a great time.
