Posted - Mar 20 2009 : 10:22:57 AM I love Spring with everything awakening and the earth renewing itself! I can feel lots of positive energy flowing all around me. YES!
Please share your special way of celebrating!
MY CELEBRATION I shall find some budding branches, and put them in my crystal vase by the window that catches the sun. I shall give thanks to the power that encompasses great and small And keeps my path a positive one.

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 7:10:19 PM The first day of spring is the Persian New Year, Nowrooz or Norooz. Spelled both ways. It is a full two week long celebration. As the day approaches I will post my annual explanation about it. The Persians (today's Iran) have been celebrating Nowrooz, the first day of spring, for around 3,000 years now.

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 2:37:42 PM Planting....and soaking up the sun! I like your idea, Heather, about planting specific seeds for meaning. That would be nice to incorporate into specific herbs to plant. And of course, giving thanks for the increasing light :)

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 10:37:30 AM I celebrate Spring Equinox ( also called Ostara in my circle) with a little planting ritual. I plant some seeds in a small pot, and each one represents aspects in my life I'd like to nurture and grow in the coming year. Then I watch these seeds sprout and grow as I grow and learn through the seasons. Happy Spring! |

Posted - Apr 12 2009 : 10:41:01 PM I especially like to celebrate the Spring Equinox by walking in the soft sun just looking at all the wonderful new life popping up everywhere. It always makes me happy and ready for spring.
I will also collect pretty spring items when it becomes dry enough.

Posted - Mar 20 2009 : 10:43:47 AM I think today I will be taking pictures. What to remember today when the snow flies next winter and after I am so cold that I wish the temperatures would warm up I can look at them and remember it will change. Enjoy today.
