This year my boyfriend of 4 years has surprised me with a trip to Victoria, BC. We will leave on the morning of Valentine's Day and arrive in Canada in time for lunch. We are staying for two nights at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa and we will come home on the Monday after V Day. I am so excited!!! We will go to the nice Vitoria Museum there and see the Parliament Buildings and gardens as well as maybe even have an authentic high noon tea at the Empress Hotel. It will be great!!
What are your plans?

Posted - Jan 29 2009 : 12:28:27 PM That sounds like such fun!!! We usually just do dinner out or something...I'm a huge foodie, and love to try new restaurants. This year, though, I'm 3 weeks from our due date with our first child (a girl, due on the 19th) and I've been instructed NOT to have her on Valentines Day because it's a "good money" night at the restaurant he works and he's on the schedule.
So, I'm thinking I'm spending Valentines night alone!!! |

Posted - Jan 27 2009 : 06:48:32 AM My guy always has flowers and candy waiting for me and I get him a card and candy - but that is it for V-Day because the next day is his B-Day so we go out for a nice dinner then. Works out well.

Posted - Jan 20 2009 : 1:28:13 PM Chelsey your trip sounds like so much fun! I hope you all have a great time. My husband and I were talking last night about maybe doing a little weekend getaway that weekend. We usually go somewhere around St. Patrick's Day but this year we thought we might need to a bit earlier. We need a little break here. It all depends on how my mom is doing though. We wouldn't go too far away in case something should happen back here.
I love those little getaway weekends. We love to stay in hotels and be pampered a bit. We usually will try to do one of our favorite hobbies while away...geocaching. It's so much fun and inexpensive. We love going to the city and state parks and just being out in nature.

Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 5:05:18 PM Lol! Usually my guy isn't that romantic. I mean, he's sweet but he usually doesn't think about stuff like this. I'm happy though! I just wouldn't want it to happen too frequently because it's kinda expensive and after V Day we need to focus on what we really "need" and not what we want so much. It will be a nice break and "getaway" though!
