I having been making some really cute "coasters" and I thought you gals might like them too.

You use 4X4 tiles that you get at Home Depot. They are really rustic looking and come in packages of 9 for less than $6.00. Next you use Mod Podge and glue on any bit of paper to the tile. It could be holiday gift wrap, childrens artwork, or photo copies of photograghs, anything you can think of really. Next, add a couple more coats of Mod Podge and spray with a sealer. When dry, I put cork on the back to protect tables. The cork is avail. at Home depot too by the roll and that is found with contact paper.

These are so pretty that they don't look homemade! I gave a friend a set as a hostess gift this weekend and I used paper from the scrap booking department that had falling leaves on it. They could be made for ALL seasons!

Oh, one other thing....if you just tear the paper, not cut it, it looks much better. Keeping with the "rustic" look of the tiles.

If life gives you scraps, make quilts!

Cindy, what a great idea!! I'm sure something like that would be in a retail store for $20 for a set of 4. How crafty!!
