It's that time of year to start making the Christmas card list, and it got me to thinking how neat it would be to flood our mailboxes with holiday cheer from our sisterhood. I'd like to start a Christmas card exchange, if anyone wants to exchange cards send me a email with your name and address and I'll add you to the list, which will be sent to all who sign up. I for one, love getting Christmas cards and exchanging with other farmgirls will be extra special! Sign up soon, taking names until the first! Ho Ho Ho........

Hey Farm Girls!!!

I also wanted to THANK all of you who have sent cards to my dear friend Elva who is fighting her 4th bout with cancer. I can't tell you how much these have meant to her. She tells me that she reads them every day since they give her such hope.

She is currently preparing a thank you message to all of you that I will post very soon.

Hey Farm Girls!!

For those of you who have not received cards from me, please know that they are coming. Since I send New Year's Cards, I spread out my mailings through December; my deadline is always 12/31. One year I did not get many done so I just decided to give up and do Valentine cards instead. Had a lot of fun with this.

Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah
Happy Kwanza
Blessed Eid (coming the first week of January)

Thanks to byhzgrace for the pin, I will wear it in support. Also thanks to all that have sent cards and Holiday Greetings. I have enjoyed going to my mailbox everyday this week to find surprises. I have all of my Christmas/Holiday Greetings hung by ribbons on a garland that is over the entrance leading from our living room to dining room for all to read and enjoy. Thank you all so much.

Ditto, Jenny, I love the beautiful pin from byhzgrace. Thank you so much, and a big thank you, too, to the other farmgirls who have sent cards. It means so much to do the mailbox boogie on a cold winter day. You are all wonderful. Thanks again.
Patricia

Happy Wishes!

Thanks so much byhzgrace for the wonderful pin, and adorable card..my kid's favorite so far. ...I will sure wear it..and to Jenny Meadowlark for the vintage card...I love it!!
The kids love to get the mail this time of year and now they always ask if the cards are from relatives (I have a huge extended family and we all do cards..the kids don't know all the names of great aunts and all beyond first names..like Aunt Elsie, or uncle Houston..and like that) or if they are OUR farmgirl friends. It is cute!

Are we going to get a specific list for the Christmas card exchange? Or are we just using the mail art list? I've received an updated mail art list but nothing for Christmas cards. Help -- I'm doing card making today!

Sue -

You're welcome. I wasn't able to do as many as I wanted, things have just kinda crept up on me and I am running around like an "idiot" trying to get stuff done before the holidays. I am glad it made it to you.

Just thank the man upstairs that you do have insurance, I don't. So don't worry about how many cards you send or don't send we all know the thought is there and that's all that counts, Just get well so we can all keep hearing from you. Have a healthy and happy Holiday Season

You've had your share of challenges this year, Sweetcakes. Don't worry about the mailings. Just think how much better you'll see to mail things later! I know what you feel about 60. I'm coming up on it in April and last week I was either at my doctor, in the hospital, or doing tests every single day. And don't get me started about insurance! The only one Stu and I could get is over $1,000 per month, $1,000 deductable EACH per year and an 80/20 split on everything else. This is hard for us but we have no choice.

Happy Wishes!
