Posted - Dec 10 2007 : 8:17:54 PM The recipe for the Peanut Butter Popcorn is from when my oldest son--now 30--was in pre-school. As a treat the teacher and the parents made her recipe for peanut butter popcorn. The kids weren't all that impressed but the parents LOVED it! You can almost convince yourself it's good for you;-)
Peanut Butter Popcorn
4-5-qts. of popped corn--I use 3 bags of microwave 1 large jar of dry roasted peanuts
Put both into a large bowl and set aside.
1 1/2 cups white sugar 3/4 cup honey 3/4 cup light karo syrup
Combine the above three ingredients in a saucepan, heat to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add:
1 1/2 cups peanut butter---smooth or crunchy 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Stir until smooth and pour over the popcorn and peanuts. Mix well and pour out onto waxed paper to cool.
If you like peanut butter, you'll love this. Enjoy!

Posted - Dec 09 2007 : 5:53:57 PM I don't know what Celticheart does, but as far as PB popcorn in my family, we just pop our corn, heat up some PB, drizzle it over the corn, and mix it up. It is easy to do if your popcorn is in a bag, then just roll the top down, shake it up & enjoy!

Posted - Dec 07 2007 : 07:26:06 AM Christmas Decorations
1. Fontanini (Italian) nativity set that my husband and I bought for our first married Christmas together. We did not exchange gifts that year, we had very little money, no tree even, but splurged on this one gift to each other. I only wish I could have gotten the Wise Men and the shepherds. Maybe some day I can find them.
2. Sentimental ornaments we have collected over the years. Two satin birds bought on our honeymoon in Quebec City...
3. Greenery that I put around our dining room doorway, with white mini lights woven into it. It's then hung with sparkling beaded snowflakes my daughter made.
Gifts to give
1. Homemade things I have made secretly for my children, they always wonder how I got them done!
2. Books, especially ones that people thought were out of print!
3. Useful things that won't just get set aside.
Holiday meal
1. Butternut squash casserole (tastes like hot pumpkin pie) 2. Iced sugar cookies 3. My mother-in-law's Christmas fruitcake, which I make now (dh says it takes him back to being a little kid when he comes in and smells it cooking!)
Merry Christmas,
