Posted - Dec 06 2019 : 6:42:10 PM Peggy, so very sorry for the loss of your mom. It is very hard to lose our mothers. I say grief is like a huge ball in a box. In the beginning it hurts so much like the ball hitting the sides of the box. Every time it hits it hurts. As time goes on the ball gets smaller and doesn't hits the sides as often so though we still feel the loss grief doesn't go away but it doesn't hurt as often. Every time it hits though it still hurts. Eventually we can start to think of our loved ones without the hurt being so intense. But grief never leaves because we love. My mom has been gone for a little over 7 years and some days it still really is painful but most days I can think of the happy memories more.
