Posted - Mar 06 2017 : 09:14:39 AM Our son Jon left us his most beautiful dog to care for when he passed away August 2015. Domino was a very large pit bull whose love for people, children, other animals, was unsurpassed. My son raised him well. He died suddenly last night. It appears he had a tumor on his heart which squeezed the heart sac, it burst open, minutes later he went into a coma and died. The vet said he sees one dog per day dying of this condition! Sometimes there are other reasons for collapse and the coma, but Domino had the symptoms of this cause. He was our last loving link to our son. So a lot of sadness prevails today. Happily I know they are together in heaven and I pray they are dancing. Both master and dog were the most loving creatures God made.

Posted - Mar 10 2017 : 5:01:21 PM Thanks to all of you for sharing your kindness. It is very appreciated at this house. We didn't expect to lose Domino this soon. He was 11 last month. Old for a large pit bull but he kept active chasing squirrels and always checking on the neighbors. We had no clue he had a tumor but he was exposed to the same chemicals our son endured so it makes sense cancer would strike him too. I get to sleep each night by envisioning the two of them chasing balls and driftwood. Playing away in heaven. Our other dogs keep looking for him... I feel I'll probably rescue a female pit bull in the future and give it a really good home. They often end up with wrong humans and end up abandoned.

Posted - Mar 08 2017 : 11:21:08 AM My son was taken to heaven due to an automobile accident when he was seven years old. That was in 1982. He had a sweet rag a muffin dog named Bandit. Bandit was the last connection we had with our son. He loved his dog!! Bandit sadly died not long after our son did. It just broke our hearts, but we felt like they were together and happy. Loss is so sad! Thankfully, we believe we will be reunited one day. Smiles, Beth
