I am 55 years old and here to say that you gals should never give up finding ghat one special person. I have ben married before. More than once. Thought I was happy in the beginning each time and things unraveld quickly each time and I was once again on my own. 3 years ago I decided to just not worry about it. To be okay with being alone. Well, that right there is when the best thing that ever happened to me came along. He found me, under the clutter that was my life. Without trying to change ME he changed everything. I have never been happier. What is amazing is thst we went to high school together and had very similar lives. I have never taken much stock in that soul mate...love of my life thing...until now.

Hi Jeannie! Yes it is me. You are one of the farmgirls I have thought about a lot over the years. It is good to be back!

Inside me there is a skinny girl crying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies.

I also have found my soulmate. I left a 20 year marriage to an alcoholic. I swore I was never going to marry again. I had no interest in men, dating or commitment. I was perfectly content being alone with my 2 sons. After 3 years, my parents encouraged me to start dating............yikes! I had a long list of qualities a man must have before I would consider spending time with them or letting them around my boys. And I was brutal! Then I met Gene...........He got an A+ on every quality on my list. He is like to male version on myself. We agree on all the big issues of parenting, money and household. Everything was easy and seamless. We blended my boys with his 3 kids with very few bumps. We truly became a family.

I could not be without him. It is amazing how you can leave all the horrible baggage behind when you have a partner in life that lets you be yourself and encourages and supports you. I feel so blessed everyday for the life I have been given and the man that made it all possible.

I am posting pictures of our family. Our 2 older kids are grown and have moved out. But in the pictures are Gene and I with his 2 daughters and my youngest son.

Love y'all's pictures! So sweet, and such sweet stories :) I met my hubby when he was dating one of my roommates in college. They broke up after a year. During that year he and I became best friends. Afterwards, we dated for about 5 weeks and then became engaged. We've been married now for almost 12.5 years. Here is a picture of us about a year ago, with our youngest.

Lowell and I met on a telephone dating line. He was attractive to me because of his politics, musical ability and lived only three blocks away. After breaking up and getting back together, we have shared the last 12 years of out lives. He has told me that he would be bereft and bewildered without me. I would be fine but very lonely without him.
