So sad to read that he has passed away...I always loved to watch The Waltons...such a wonderful show back in the day...I still love to watch the reruns with my family...sometimes I wish life was like that now...seemingly such a better place and time...

Hugs!

Shirley, I agree, thank goodness for the Hallmark Channel.

Yes. Much "crying" over at The Walton's forum the day that he died. I was lucky enough to have known him. It was a shock to all.

We also love the Waltons and Little House..yep thank goodness we have the Hallmark Channel...I agree with all of you above..a better time, even tho we know times were hard. So grandpa, grandma, and John are gone..is that correct and is that all of the cast that has passed. Remember the good times..Blessings girls.

My husband, myself and our grandaughter watch the re=runs every evening and love them all. Our 5 yr old grandaughter knows the family by name. So sad Mr. Waite is gone.

Oh now I am so sad . I loved the Waltons and I still watch it. He was a great actor. He also played on NCIS as Mark Harmon's dad. I know he will be greatly missed. I am going to miss you Ralph Waite. RIP

I still watch the Waltons on Hallmark Channel all the time. It is far and above the shows on the other channels. And to think it was once priome time. We have fallen so far. He was a great actor. He lives on....in the show.

Sure was a wonderful actor. Loved him especially in the Walton's. Grew up watching that show and watch it still.

I can only imagine how upset "The Walton Children" must be...there has to be a certain closeness when you work day in day out with someone...

I cried when I heard the news!!! We have all the seasons on DVD and enjoy watching them! It is amazing how he is "part of the family" in our home. My kids were extremely upset!

One of my very favorite shows of all time, along with Little House on the Prairie. I agree - wish we could go back to a more simple and innocent time.
