Prayer works and I dare anyone to tell me differently! I am, at this moment, holding one grandchild while the other is sitting on the sofa watching television. The oldest wanted to come but he has school in the morning and the 1 year old will come Friday.

My daughter called last Saturday and asked if I wanted to see them. I said yes. She brought them over and the 3 year old stayed for the day. When I went to drop him off, she ran into my arms and apologized. I'm taking one day at a time and not committing to anything, just watching and waiting on God to do his thing. I know she still needs help but I'm staying out of it. She's got to do it on her own.

I'm just glad to see my babies!

Thank you all. Sorry its taken me a few days to respond. I've been making up for lost time with my little ones! My three year old has pretty much moved in, lol! As for my daughter and son in law, I keep it cordial and distant. I ask no personal questions that are not directly related to my grandchildren. If they aren't going to tell me they aren't seeking help there is really nothing to say, nothing I want to hear. I really like it this way.

In God's good time, all things will be made right. I don't seek restoration because it was too broken. When I think about our past relationship I realize that there is nothing I want to have restored. I want it all brand new and that's what God is going to do for us!

I am so glad you are again able to enjoy your grandbabies in person! I hope things work out permanently for you and your daughter. This is a start at working things out. You are right, you can't fix her problems, she needs to recognize the need and accept the help she needs.

Hugs,
Susan

It is so heartbreaking. I know. We have had our 5 yr. old grandaughter since a few months old. Our hearts are so broken over this. No details, but she is thriving, loving, smart, and has a heart for Jesus, in her own precious way. We love her more than we can describe. We are not young, 59 & 62 but we can handle this. No problem because we love her so much. Parents are in another world, thiers. It's called Narcassist's. Look it up. So sad. It is epedemic, raising one's grandchild. All I can do is pray, pray, and pray for our daughter. We raised two daughters and they are as different as night and day. What happened? So sad.
