S my youngest moved out with his fiancée. I just went and looked in his room to see what else he had to still get. I stood there reminiscening about what his nursery looked like. I remembered the green check wall paper that came half way up the wall. With the dancing Teddy bears bordering the top. His white crib and antique white dresser with blue knobs on the dresser drawers. OK tears now. He is such a wonderful son and young man. I always said I wish i had 10 more just like him. At least he s only 10 mins. Away. He is a wonderful cook I will miss him in the kitchen with me.

I am reminded that we do not know the burdens others bear. My last two moved out recently and I never realized how hard it was. I was a basket case. I was under the impression people looked forward to this. I WAS WRONG! To those of you who lost children, my heart and love goes out to you. I lost my husband almost 5 years ago. It was so hard. I have a friend who lost a daughter recently, she was just a few years younger than me and I saw in the obituary that they had lost a son many years ago. I never knew. How sad.
Hugs to everyone.

Okay y'all
Who has the box of tissues? My heart really weeps for all of
you. Beth I did not know you had a little angel in Heaven. We have
two. Our first son, Austin passed at 6 months of age. 35 years
this past March 30th. Our little grandaughter took the hand of
our Heavenly Father and together they walked into Heaven. It will
be 16 years this Saturday. October 13th.

Hugs to you dear farmsister and to all who are experiencing that
empty nest feeling.

Love ya bunches (I really do.)

My house is empty also!! We have 5 children and our home was home to many other kiddos, so at times we would have a house fuller!! My youngest moved to North Texas univ this Fall and is in graduate school, I have one in Memphis, one in Johnson City, tenn and my grandkids and son and his wife in California...and I live in Alabama Our oldest child ahs been in Heaven for 28 years after being in a car accident at the age of 7....So I understand about the empty nest !! Not too much fun without my birdies.....Smiles

You can never be to kind!

Big hugs as well. I've been there. I remember the night our only child left. One of the worst times of my life!! He moved to Michigan from Colorado with his girlfriend. Long story short, couldn't find work, was offered a great job here (Co.) and moved back after 7 months! Yippee!! He's since married a great girl and we have our grandson living just 45 minutes away!! Again, yippee!! You are fortunate that your son lives so close too, but it is still so HARD!! It feels like part of your heart has left. It will get better, but I still miss my boy, and I know ya have to let them go!! Guess that's part of being a good Mama? Good luck, and feel free to e mail me anytime!! I'm here for ya. Hugs, Lu

Yes, I know that feeling.

My son is visiting with my husband and I this weekend from Utah. Just a few days but worth every minute.

Hugs to you, Dorinda. You'll be okay. He'll probably be cooking more for you now.
