I am 44 next month and have been blessed with 5 grandsons, ages 4, 2, 2, 5 months and 1.5 months. Our youngest daughter has 3 boys and just found out she's carry another baby! She was so shocked that she dang near passed out in Bi-lo grocery store! Too funny!! Her hubby is an air traffic controller in the Marine Corp.

It always amazes me that so many people have so much to say about her reproduction abilities. She will be 22 in August and is on her second marriage. She married young the first time and had to divorce him as he was abusive. That was after two children. She met her new husband and they fell and love and have taken to reproducing! LOL!! He wanted more children but this will be the last as she has difficult pregnancies.

Whats funny is that her peers and even women who should know better seem to think she's wasting her life. We raised our daughter to value being a homemaker. She is highly intelligent and artistic and has a beautiful voice but all people can see is her having a load of children. Sad. We love our babies SO much and have always been co-parents with her. It galls me when folks seem to assume that she's on public assistance and the state is taking care of her children! Her hubby was meritoriously promoted to Sgt after being in the Corp for only 1.5 years! He was just featured on our local news station for being a top Marine. Yet people judge.

How many of you ladies married young and started having children right away? Did you catch a lot of flack because of your life choice?

I'll be 44 next month too, Tracy, and my oldest is only 18...although I know it could happen any day, I don't see any grandchildren for quite a few years. My sister will be a grandmom at 42 and my SIL's just became one at 38....kinda makes me sad to see all these babies and not any of them are mine!

Congratulations!

Such good news Tracy. Congratulations! When kids are raised up right, it's such a blessing to have them all around. Praying for a wonderful pregnancy for your daughter.

Congratulations Tracy! And congratulations to your daughter too. I think that people should spend less time worrying about what other people are doing and more time focusing on just being a better human being! Wouldnt that make the world a much nicer place!
Enjoy your grandbabies!
Hugs,

Thanks SL and congratulations to you!
Clothedinscarlet, it is amazing how people often feel the need to regulate someone else's life! We feel SO blessed by the these precious gifts she's given to us. Our grands hold our hearts in their tiny little hands. My hubby just adores his boys and they are his shadows. I've been in the birthing room for all but one of my boys and each time is a miracle. I can't imagine anyone seeing children as a consequence or an unwanted interference. Its baffling. It makes me so proud to know that my daughter wants to be like me (even if she doesn't realize I'm not perfect) her desire makes me want to be a better mother, homemaker and wife because she is watching me and learning from me. I'm in awe at the responsibility.

I am on my fourth but I am 32 and have been married for 8 years and people give me enough flack about my crew. I also have three boys. I have a friend who got married at 19 after she and her boyfriend had already had one son and had a little girl on the way. Then, one year later they had a set of twin girls. So she is 21 now and has 4 children and they are praying hard for more, but it just hasn't happened yet. She is such a good mommy and a wonderful homemaker and she is doing exactly whatshe has always dreamed of and doing a heck of a job at it. People can be so strange. God created women to have children and keep house. Why do people look down on them for doing what God gifted them to do?
