Well she lost the baby . We were at the ER all day Monday. She had a miscarriage. They did a blood test on her and said that she was O Neg. They had to give her some type of shot. They said she will have to have that shot after being pregnant each time. And because of her blood type that is probably why she mis carried. Hum I do not quite understand. They said she would be able to have children she just has to let the doctor know she is O Neg. blood type. Well God has a plan for everyone and maybe next time she will be okay. They said she could try again in 2 months.

That is terribly sad. I lost two babies before Nora came along. I hope someday she has a wonderful baby to love and hold. *hugs*

So so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for you all. I do not have the neg blood thing but I miscarried 5 times before I had my DD. I'm only telling you that to say don't give up hope. I am so blessed with the child I got. Please be sure to talk about this. When I miscarried (many years ago) nobody talked about it at all and I felt such a loss. Hugs to her and you, Joey

So sorry for your loss. The bloody type and antigen thing can be confusing. Basically if someone has negative blood (she has O negative) that means she is missing certain antigens in her blood. If the baby has positive blood (the baby has these antigens), mom's body sees it as a foreign invader and does what comes natural and gets attacks/rid of it, hence the miscarriage. This is why people with negative blood can only get transfusions with negative blood types only, people with positive blood can get either! Women with negative blood types get a Rogham (maybe spelled wrong) shot after each pregnancy that is supposed to work somehow or other (I don't even understand how it works) to keep the woman from miscarrying again. I hope that helps in understanding a little better.
