Im not sure if I am posting in the right category or not, but I was just wondering if any of you have read and/or participated in The Love Dare (from FireProof). Posted - Feb 09 2012 : 1:35:19 PM I watched Courageous a couple of days ago. What really hit me was the actions the men took after the one arrested the kid and the other had to arrest his friend. Most people would have written them off and walked away, but these men went on to mentor and forgive those who had betrayed them. I wish DH had had time to see it. I think it would do most men a world of good to see what it means to be a man according to the Bible but in a modern setting.

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 08:44:18 AM I saw the movie. (Fireproof). I liked it. DH watched it with me. It's sweet. Flipped through the book, but haven't bought or read or tried it. I do like the message. Has anyone seen the Courageous movie? Is it good? What is it about?

Posted - Jan 30 2012 : 11:47:14 AM I highly recommend it. I haven't seen the Courageous one yet but I want to. Fireproof was excellent and the Love Dare is great. Go for it. It can't hurt anything.

Posted - Jan 23 2012 : 5:21:48 PM I did the Love Dare last year. It was great. I actually didn't tell my husband to I had to.he isn't into self-help usually so i didn't want him to know. It was amazing how well he responded and really it wasn't that difficult for me to get through. It was fun and helpful to think of him first more. It was kind of like dating when you really think of the other person so much just trying to be good to and for them. It was really nice. I was actually thinking of repeating it as a reconditioning. I am curious about courageous as well. Thought I would get the movie first then read the book.

Posted - Jan 23 2012 : 2:04:22 PM The love dare was a great book. I remember reading it and doing it a few years ago. Powerful and really makes you think about how you relate to your mate. :)

Posted - Jan 23 2012 : 11:03:14 AM Judy - my husband and I actually watched Courageous this weekend and I am still reeling from how powerful it was. It actually moved my huband to tears when the father danced and that is something I have rarely seen in our 12 years together.. he is not a christian so for something like that to happen, I know God is moving in our lives and I feel the need to take advantage of whats happening while I have the chance! Marly - Thanks for the encouragement! |

Posted - Jan 23 2012 : 10:52:02 AM I watched the movie but did not do the love dare. the writters of that also have a new movie and set of books out that I am doing. The movie is Couragous and the books are the resolution for men/women (it is two diffferent books). My DH and I have both started reading it and after seeing the movie (now at Redbox) I really understand the why of it.
God bless,

Posted - Jan 23 2012 : 10:37:18 AM My Sweetie (hubby) and I have been married for a long time. I think the Love Dare would be a good thing for anyone. I haven't seen the movie yet, but have heard a lot of good reviews. Good luck to you and your husband if you try it. Marly
