Posted - Sep 12 2011 : 06:46:02 AM So excited...my husband's brother and his family are going to visit us this week from Denmark, and they are bringing our new niece! SHe is eighteen months old and so far we have only seen pictures! Can't wait - we'll have a baby in the house again for a whole week. My daughter is over-the-moon about meeting her cousin. She's going to be like a little mother hen. We picked out a baby outfit for her as a welcome gift, and have been pulling out the high chair, ect. (Guess after this it will be time to get rid of them, my "baby" is nine). It should be fun. Any ideas of some fun things to do? I am going to take them to a petting zoo, but what else could we do?

Posted - Sep 23 2011 : 09:47:10 AM Hi Annika,
Funny thing...I keep finding my niece's "Binky's" all over, and in some of the strangest places! I giggle each time I see one. When they left, I waved goodbye until they drove out of sight. I remember my grandparents always doing that. Anyway, if you'd like to see a picture of my dd and niece, check out this week's blog. I put a picture at the bottom. So sweet!
Hugs, Nicole

Posted - Sep 19 2011 : 12:49:27 PM Oh gosh Nicole!, I was just wondering how the visit was going. I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful visit and got to hug and cuddle your new niece!!! I always cry an ocean when I visit my dad and sister and its time to go home =) Saying goodbye to some one so dear is always hard, but provides an excellent opportunity for old fashioned letter writing and picture exchanges! Celebrate the visit and the great times spent with loved ones, put on some tunes and bake a cake!
Much love from your dotty farm girl sister way out in the pointy end of Idaho!!
HUGS!

Posted - Sep 19 2011 : 11:05:24 AM Cried buckets this morning. They left today after a wonderful visit. DD cried buckets when she left for school, and when she gets home today I'm sure she will be teary. Had a blast! She is the cutest little baby, and sure do miss my BIL and SIL. House is waaaaayyyy too quiet now!
