Posted - Jul 30 2011 : 05:47:59 AM It's been over 7 years since our family took an actual family photo. The kids get their photo taken in school, but we've neglected to get a "family" photo taken.
I am considering getting a stack of straw, placing them at the end of one of our barns, and having a family member take our photo. Hopefully in a week we can all be home to do that.

Posted - Jul 31 2011 : 9:02:58 PM The kids and I are going to have one taken in the snow this year...we don't have a wintery one. Last one of ALL my kids (I have 7 and three are grown and live in Calif) was two years ago at a family reunion..but it isn't an awesome picture. I hope to get a really good one next time we visit them..hard to get them all together and it is going to only get harder the older the younger ones get! It is fun to look at all the zillions we took trying to get one good one of all the kids...never did get one where there was everyone looking just right..but oh well...nearly impossible with 7. It was fun anyway and I have alot of funny "out takes" type pictures.

Posted - Jul 30 2011 : 8:42:29 PM Gosh - you've got me thinking...the last family photo we took was when DD was in 6th or 7th grade and now she is 20! I would say that it is time for a new one!

Posted - Jul 30 2011 : 6:34:55 PM That sounds great! Our last (and only) family photo was cleaning the couch up and setting the timer on the camera. After about 5 tries we got a nice one.

Posted - Jul 30 2011 : 06:39:46 AM Family photos are so neat! I think its been a few years since we have had ours done. We usually just have a family member take it. I have a really nice camera so we can usually get some decent shots and do fun things with them! I think your idea with the straw and the barn sounds perfect!
