I am trying to find some really good family/Christian movies to donate to our library. Have you watched any good ones that are Christian based or inspirational like The Blind Side, etc?

Most of the newer Disney movies have turned me. Haven't seen Princess and The Frog yet. I get tired of the hidden environmental messages.

You just can't beat a good 'ole Good -VS- Evil

Where The Red Fern Grows is an older movie, kind of sad, but still really good. The book was good too

Might could find this on E-bay or Amazon

Christian Book Distributors also has good ones, just go under DVD's and movies.

Sad all the junk they put out isn't it? Really comedy?? Watch I Love Lucy now that was good stuff

The new Nativity Story and One night with the King. Very good.

I have Faith Like Potatoes, but haven't watched it yet.

Great ideas, girls.

There's a movie called "Faith Like Potatoes" that's good. "The Ultimate Gift" is also good. "Amazing Grace" is wonderful, but it would depend on the ages of the kids because there is some violence and the "n" word gets used (it's about liberating the slaves in England).

Look for the old disney movies. Those are much better. I seldom like remakes. Parent Trap is really an example for me, I love the original but remake Thomasina and Toby Tyler, That Darn Cat, The Ugly Dachshund for example.

My five year old loves Sound of Music. But she is usually done and ready for bed about the time that they are fleeing. Which I am glad I don't have to explain yet. LOL

The Barbie movies are ok. They aren't look at me aren't I beautiful. They are being yourself and doing what is right. I don't care for the Three Musketeer one. The Holly Hobby ones are good. They are about caring for your neighbors and how to be a friend. Strawberry Shortcake are about the same.

I am very disgusted with the Disney movies as of late. The G-force and the Snow Buddies for example. They are putting out a version of Rapunzel this fall. The Tinkerbell ones are ok.

It is hard with a five year old. She is getting tired of Dora or Little Bear. But most things that I find are junk. That Willie Wonka with Johnny Depp was terrible and I felt it was down right sick. I don't mind her watching the old Willie Wonka with Gene Wilder.

It is a shame that anything goes today. Even so call family programming is pregnant girls, finding your daughter in a shower with her boyfriend etc. I am just sick. I am this close to putting the TV in the garbage.

Bri also likes the American Girl movie Kit Kittredge. I even liked it. I heard that there are more. Has anyone seen any of the other ones.

I'll get off my soap box now.

I haven't actually watched the entire movie, but maybe Little Women? I'm reading the book, and it seems like these girls would be good, Christian role models.

Love the "Comes Softly" series.

Last of the Mohichains is a good older child movie.

Almost all of the Hallmark movies are family oriented and are available at Hallmark stores.
