Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 9:54:43 PM My oldest son arrived home today from his 2 year deployment in Korea! It's been a long 2 years but he is home and so are his two younger brothers after 3 tours of Iraq between the two of them. My oldest will be home about 3 weeks and then off to Fort Campbell to join the 159th Med evc group. He flies in the heilcopters that pick up hurt soilders. By July he should be in Afghanistan! But for the next three weeks he is home where his Mama can hug him!!!! God Bless all who have served and those who will!!!

Posted - May 14 2010 : 8:23:04 PM I just wanted to update you all on my son's visit. It was 3 weeks of joy. We cooked together, Rebuild car motors (2 cars hot roded), Gardened, and just had good old time family fun. My oldest as of May 6th is now stationed at Fort Campbell, and already looking at a transfer. The best part is his deployment to Afghanistan has been move to next February. When he arrived his orders were change and he is not going to the Med Evac unit. He is so bummed. He is not going to be flying at all unless he can get a transfer. So please keep your fingers crossed that a transfer comes through. He loves his flying and I would rather he be in the air then on the ground. Thanks for all the good wishes. It feels so good to know I can hop in the car and be to him in 8 hours.

Posted - Apr 17 2010 : 2:30:08 PM Thank you so much for your family and the way they protect mine! I salute you and yours! My grandfather and many uncles and cousins and even my FIL has served and some are serving now. I know the kind of worry you've endured only not as strongly as if it were my child. I want you to know that there are those of us out here who appriciate what you and yours are doing for us.
