I was wondering how some of you deal with the "grasshopers" of our lives. I am an "ant". I have always believed in hard work and am willing to help others. Where I have a problem is when "grasshopers" stand around and tell you what to do....help!! How do you deal with these people?

I've given up on the smile and appriciate part with some of the grasshoppers in my life. I don't have any chickens to turn loose but I sure know how to cluck! I now say in an even and quiet tone, "I am the one doing this and it's my choice. If you can't watch quietly then please leave." Usually they leave which makes my job easier and more peaceful.

They're called managers! (LOL). Paste a smile on your face, give them a non-committal nod and move on,it's all you can do, stressing about it too much is not good for the body.

Just remember there are more ants out there than grasshoppers.

Love your answer Fiddlehead Farm!! The chickens may just be hungry. I am working on the smile and appreciate part. Have no problem with doing it as planned part. Thanks, I just needed to talk with some "ants". Barbara

Smile, tell them you appreciate their advice, then go on and do exactly what you had planned to do anyway!

Sick the chickens on them! LOL, no really I feel the same way. Mostly all you can do is know that what goes around comes around.

I would probably start with a little snicker and give them a big smile and tell them that I appreciate their advice but that I have already work it out how I was going to a certain thing and then Thank them. After that how can the continue to tell you what they know your not going to. If so, walk away.

Blessings, Brenda
