Danny boy is sick again...and this time I am too.

I am sure stress and grief and depression are making my regular health problems worse.

My son has Autism and his lack of impulse control is his main problem. He talks well and is so sweet and loving that it's hard to believe he can explode so suddenly.

I am trying hard not to worry but sadness is so real to me. I love my adopted son so much. He has been my life since we got him at birth. I feel lost without him here with me.

My X and I are getting along very well most of the time...we need to to for the sake of our son.

Spiritual and emotional and mental healing is needed for us. His name is Danny and he is only 8 years old.

We are happy and blessed in spite of it all.

You might try reading the book called Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. It connects autism and disease with diet and how we eat. Might be of help to you.

I read thru these posts again and it helps so much to know the prayers and love coming!

Yesterday was a good day....emotionally for me.

We had a good productive meeting with the main angency. I had a big envelope organized with all the papers they needed and I was praised for having it all organized...(LOL me organized LOL)
I haven't been able to see Danny boy in several days but he calls every day and get to chat for a moment. I got him a new toy and he is anxious for me to bring it to him. :-)
Just a normal kid in so many ways!

Thanks again for all your love and prayers!

The progress of Danny boy's transer to the long term Residental is going slow...just different agencies trying to get their act together. So far at least the trip to see him is 20 minutes closer travel time..that's a positive. The new place has a very nice website and he will have lots of fun this summer. His big rage tantrums are managed by the professionals but they are staying the same....to much for us parents. He will eventually go with his dad and will be dischared when insurance won't pay any longer...but that is months away.

In the meantime this puppy is my child though she is too strong and hyper I will not have her long.

My sadness and stress is getting better all the time though I am getting scheduled for brain MRI for memory loss. I doubt if there is anything doctors can do so I'll just keep on keeping on.
My family doctor actually told me a couple days ago that I have to consider not driving any longer. She looked me straight in the eye and said she didn't want to force me. I was honest with her about my getting lost so easy and confused...things like that. It only lasts for a few days and then goes away but concerning when it does happen. I took very good care of Danny boy all things considered. Whew....but now I am going to take care of myself.

I am so sorry you and your son are not feeling well. You both will be in my daily prayers. God Bless you both. Be strong. I've been reading the posts written by the other farm/city girls, wow--- you should be feeling all the love. What a wonderful group of girls. They are always so supportive. I just love this place because of their support, love, caring attitudes, etc... Keep us posted on the recovery.

Linda find some time for yourself to just take some slow deep breaths and let peace fill your heart. God will take care of you and your son. So will the health officials. Be calm when explaining your needs. Understand that unfortunately life doesn't always move as fast as we want it to but that sometimes slowing down can be a good thing in the long run.
Lots of farm girl huggzz to you and your family.

Thanks so much for the love and prayers my Farmgirl sisters.

The angency is getting their act together to get us an Intensive Case Manager.

I am also getting on waiting lists for apartments...one called me today. I will get one for handicap...it will be a month or two...just enough time.

Linda-
Be positive, no matter what life brings your way. There is a jewel in every hard time, it seems the harder the time the bigger the jewel. Look in and see how beautiful you and your family are. I see that picture and see God's perfect plan. So much unconditional love, so much giving. Love is abundant and always serving you. That can't be taken away by anyone at anytime. As a flight attendant would suggest, " remember to put your oxygen mask on first ". My thoughts are w/ you all.

Take care of yourself one little way a day!

I live in the area of USA that people are unfriendly and not helpful to anyone who is not blood family. Many times I have nobody to help me.

Temporary hospital is available for me to get me thru this time. they offer a couple types of therapy and evaluations that I need. It is the only way that I will get some help thru this painful time. I have grief and depression
...even the calls and work for Danny even while he is in the hospital...they won't get an Advocate or Case manager for us (it is not their job...) I have to do it...and pros won't won't do it...even if it's the law they have to they won't do their job.

I'm so sorry that you are having a rough time of it right now. You are in my thoughts and prayers. How old is your son?? Would getting cheery cards from some of us farm gals make him feel better? If so....e-mail me your address.
Hoping things brighten up for you soon.

Oh Linda,
I am so sorry to hear all of this. I know that God is standing there beside you as you go through all of this, though sometimes I know it is hard to feel Him there when stuff seems too much to bear. Know that He loves all three of you and you all are in His precious care!!

Oh Linda, I'm so sorry for what you and your family are going through!!! Did they find out what was causing the problem with you at the hospital? did they restart the med that was helping? I'm hope that little Danny is better soon and back home with you.

Linda, please take care of yourself. healthy up your diet if you can. increase the fruits and veggie(the potassium will help with the B/P). rest when you can and try to picture things working out the way you want. Know that even if we can't be with you in person, we are there is spirit.

sending love and healing energy to you and Danny. Hugs phyllis
