Aria received this AMAZING quilt from our own farmgirl Kathy, khartquilt. It is absolutely lovely. Kathy asked that people suggest a child in need to whom she could give this quilt. Several of you suggested Aria among several other children whose stories are just as incredible as Aria's. I am very grateful to each and every one of you who thought of Aria...who has been touched by her in some way. I'm completely overwhelmed actually! The generosity of people, the response to her very real and human story has been heaven on earth for me and for her.

Kathy, the quilt is breath-taking! She came home on Wednesday after 2 1/2 hours of preschool feeling completely exhausted. She had had a spinal tap the day before and some heavy chemo too. I was surprised she wanted to go to school, but she couldn't wait to show everyone her missing tooth! Needless to say, it wiped her out. The moment she saw the quilt and we pulled it out of the box, she cuddled with it in her rocking chair and within minutes was fast asleep. She keeps her rocking chair in a sunny spot under a window so the first picture is her in her chair using the natural light. The second picture is using a flash.

Thank you Kathy!! thank you thank you!! thank you everyone for keeping her always so near and dear. ~julia

When my heart cannot get any more full of love for Aria and the farmgirls here, something else shows the depth of love and giving that exists within us at MJF. I am crying again! How lovely is that quilt! And for a lovely girl, who deserves every bit of comfort she gets.
