Posted - Jan 07 2009 : 04:51:39 AM I know I haven't been around much in the past year, but life's been crazy. My 13 y/o ds had unexplained headaches for months and finally had sinus surgery in the Spring, followed by a staph infection in his sinuses. I started going back to school full-time last January, which I was doing while working full-time and being pregnant (surprised by the news the day before the semester started). I had a lot of joint pain during my pregnancy, so I was unable to sit at the computer much. I ended up being induced because of the pain (nothing would help relieve it) and ended up with a c-section because the baby's cord was wrapped around his neck twice and making him have issues with contractions. He was born 2 weeks early and weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces.
Anyway, we named him Thaddeus Aaron, and he is now 4 months old weighing in at 17 pounds 4 ounces and 27 inches long. I'm still going to school full-time (all online courses), but no longer working (which is KILLING our finances), while staying home with Thad. I'll probably end up going back to work in August (I work at a school), but I hate to! I should be able to graduate in May, hopefully!
I'm hoping to be able to start sewing and knitting more, now that I'm feeling better and he's old enough to be entertained by toys for a bit. Hopefully I can hang out around here a little more too!

Posted - Jan 07 2009 : 06:15:10 AM ROFL! Oh boy do I know what you mean! Watch for a thread in "Across the Fence" entitled C O L L E G E in a few more days. A lot of us college farmgirls post there and it is great to have the support and the "OH no! It's Finals" type support! My goal is to get the house cleaned and organized so that when school starts for me again in (ACK!!!) 7 days that I can just do maintenance cleaning like dishes and laundry during the week and house cleaning on Doug's days off. So far the laundry situation and the living room are looking pretty good!

Posted - Jan 07 2009 : 06:14:19 AM MB, he is BIG! Wearing 9 month clothes already and too heavy to lug around in his carrier car seat. His feet hang off the end, so his legs are almost too long for it too!

Posted - Jan 07 2009 : 06:08:31 AM I've really enjoyed the break, I had 4 weeks off. In my "ideal" life, I would be a stay home mama, without taking the classes, and focus on my little one, my house, and my creative side... But giving Thad the attention he needs is about all I can do most days with my classwork. (So don't stop by unannounced. LOL)
