Sometimes, in the hustle & bustle of daily life I find myself groussing way to much when I should be counting my blessings.
Hubby & I just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary. I almost want to cry when I think about what a wonderful man, husband, father he is. He deserves better than me and I am so grateful that I am the one he wants to grow old with.
It is to easy to not pay attention to the little things, the kind words, the sweet touch, the laughter and even the tears & squabbles. But it all makes for a journey that I would do over again & again.
We have a beautiful (both inside & out) daughter who is so thoughtful and caring...even her dear husband is our pride and joy.
We haven't any grand kids, just grand doggies & grand kitties, but it's ok because we are so blessed in so many other ways.
So now that I have taken stock of my life & my blessings I think I will go bake my hubby some cookies, and call my daughter, and you know, I think it's time to go call my mom too!
May you cherrish your blessings.

Amanda,,,UR going to Calif. in April? so am I ....back to Ventura County(if it hasn't burnt down) for a Sisters on the Fly round up.
I won't be pulling my trailer tho, I am going to fly in, visit w/my mom & sister & my gal pals back there then spend a week w/the SOTF gals then fly back home.
If iI drive it will take me 4 days total round trip so by flying in it gives me those 4 days to visit. Thank goodness for free flyer miles that I have saved up. This trip is gonna be $$$ as it is but so worth it.
Ok, I am off to the P.O. & to the market (to get cat food)....I know, I lead such an exciting life!! lol!

Grace I was thinking about this this morning, thinking how lucky I am to have healthy kids, a hubby who puts up with my many "masks", friends who love me for me, parents who are proud of me for just being ME. I am so blessed in so many ways. I am blessed to know a bunch of famrgirls, I am blessed to be alive, blessed to be in the USA, blesses to be working at something I actually enjoy. Just BLESSED, lucky , fortunate, whatever you want to call it. Life is much too short to not recognize that.
I went for a walk and decided to put my ear peice on and call my dad.He and I are very close. We talked during my entire 3mile walk. MuchaDo about nothing. Now I am home cooking up a treat for my kids when they get home, I have my apron on, and am doing something that makes me happy. Which in turn makes someone else happy. And that too is a blessing.............
