I know many of us Farmgirls must have children graduating this year. My youngest son graduates in May from a school he has attended since kindergarten. Around here that is not unusual. Our elementary, middle school and high school are all on the same property fairly close to each other. This is a community school in the strongest sense as many community members utilize our school for night school, walking in the gym in the mornings (because of the snow) and using our weight room to work out. I love our school and this year when my son graduates I get to hand him his diploma as I am a member of school board and am on my second term. We have five school board members and four of us have seniors graduating and each one of us get to give our children their diploma. I am sure I will be crying.

I just wanted to show you the plaque my sweet son gave me called "To My Mom". This is such a sweet boy, thoughtful and sensitive. He gave me a fathers day card one year because I have been a single parent since he was 1 and he said I have had to be both to him and he wanted me to know how much he loves me (sniffle, sniffle). Anyway I just wanted to share and would love to hear how many other farmgirls have children graduating this year as well.

The plaque reads:
To My Mom-On My Graduation Day
My appreciation for everything you
do often goes unspoken.
I'd like to thank you for all
encourgement, guidance, patience
and understanding you have shown
me throughout my school years.
Thank you for teaching me the importance
of knowledge, and allowing me the
opportunity to learn.
You've always been there
when I have needed you.
Love Always, Justin

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am so excited. All the family is coming up for dinner before the graduation and we are all going out for dinner. This is a small class, maybe 35 students so we do a slide show presentation of them growing up and try to guess who it is, and it is a lot of fun. I got some great pictures of my son out of the thousands I have and I hope he doesn't get embaressed but he was such a cute baby/little boy.

I also am going to hand Lisa Maries daughter her diploma and give her a big hug as she is such a special girl, like her mom. I will post a picture or two this weekend.

Some people look for happiness, others create it!

Oh, wow, I love that you will give him his diploma, and the plaque is wonderful.
You raised a good son!
