This is a picture of Aria taken the day before her last day of treatment of Phase 1. The fabulous cap she is wearing was made by our own Linda Chavez! Linda said it was made for me but it fits Aria just perfectly! Now that my hair is shorter, I have a 'poofier' head! Linda, THANK YOU!! I just love the cap and the colors, earth tones are just soooooo me! Aria too!

Aria looks very different now as a result of all the steroids. Her face is really swollen and her stomach was so bloated that her belly button was flat and even poked out a little. She had the body of a child who was severely malnourished and I found this so distressing! She's been off the steroids 6 days now and already I'm seeing some pretty dramatic changes. She has her belly button back and her face is slimming down a little. AMAZING stuff!

Today has been HUGE day! She walked up 2 flights of stairs all by herself to get to the playroom. She is up there now with her big brother and they are playing. She hasn't done that in over a month! I am beside myself! Her next phase of heavy hitting chemo begins this Friday, so I am enjoying every single day we have now..we're in a bit of break phase this week while all of her labs and numbers are determined which course of action we're going to pursue Friday. ahhhhhhh...so happy for Aria! Go Aria Go!

Farmgirl Sisters, thank you for being with me. Enjoy the picture!

She looks so pretty in her beautiful hat. And I love the polish on her nails. Nothings like a good hat and nail polish to make us gals feel better, huh? She is so adorable.

Don't worry, Julia, the side effects will go away when she gets off the prednisone. I was steroid dependent for a few years so I know. She's so beautiful just the way she is anyway.

love,
Patricia

She is so beautiful. My 3-year-old Tate calls her Ayaya and keeps kissing her picture! I had explained who she was when I made the hats for her because he was my head model and thought he could keep them!
