your present dh/bf? I thought it might be fun to see which of us are long timers. I have been with my dh since '68, married since '71. So - 37 years next month for me. How about you all?

This year marks our 30th anniversary. When we met I was 18 and he was 28. We married 3 months later. Hubby was a MAJOR city boy - LA and Reno Nev. I was a born and bred farm girl from TN. We "bumped" into each other  and knew it was the right thing from the first date. Because we were from such different worlds and we only dated 3 months and 14 days ( to be exact), everyone said we would not last a year . I think we did a little better than that!!

i have been married for 35 years to my high school sweetheart, was boyfriend for 5 years before we got married... so its better like 40 years we have been together... LOL |

We met because our kids were in high school band together and we were band boosters . Dated from 2000 and married in april '04 when we were both 50! As some one else said, I had to wait this long to find the right one. He is my prince charming!!! He wasn't first,but he is all I ever wanted.

Ken and I met and started dating the last of Sept of 85. We married in May of 86. So not long and we will celebrate our 22 anniversary.

i have been married 33 years, but not to the same man!
my first and i were married 17 years, this hubby and i have been married going on 16 years, and i tell him, 16 years, 8 of the happiest years of my life. and he says , so you've been happy half the time? yes, and he says, pretty good for an old bachelor boy.
when i met him, he was 42 and had never been married. at times, he still doesnt have a clue and functions like a little bachelor boy, but no one can make me laugh like he does and he loves bluegrass music and quotes shakespeare. he is the greatest stpedad and pawpaw.....and i have really been happy with him, most all the time,,,,,just dont tell him.....after the first broke my heart i am afraid i just didnt want anyone to ever take me for granted again.
what was the question?
oh, yea, 16 years.

my high school sweetie & I meet in the summer of 1969, I was 16, he was 17... we married in 1972 and here we are going on 36 years & we are still high school sweeties. 
I can truly say I love him more each and every passing day.

I'm with Tina on the short engagement thing! We met in April 1987, got engaged Christmas 1987, and married January 22, 1988. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary. And he's 10 years older, I was 24 and he was 34 when we got married.
Yes, I had to wear a big winter coat over my wedding dress!

Meet my dear dear dh in May 1983 and married in a sweet small ceremony with family in July 1983. Yep, 3 months and married 24 1/2 years. Ain't love grand!

Met my Dh in 1994 married him in 2005 in our gardens on our property with his best friend officiating and family and friends surrounding us. My children were our witnesses. I need to raise my 5 children before I could marry him. My kids love him and he is my best friend. Thank goodness I had my first husband because it showed me how marriage should not be. Someday I will thank him for it!!!!!
