Hi Girls,

I haven't started a new topic in ages...but I am so giddy with excitement I can hardly contain myself!!! My DH is coming home this Monday or Tuesday for his 14 days of leave from Iraq!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe this day is arriving...it seemed when he left that it was just unattainable..and now 9 months later....he is coming!!!!

I have been cleaning, procrastinating, dreaming, cleaning etc...just wanted to share some awesome news from my end. He will have to go back though until Summer 08...but I can't think about that now! Hugs to you all!!! Erica:)

Thanks to everyone for your kind words!!! Today I am pulling out all his clothes and washing them so he has some real clothes to wear around here! Our home is going to be an official "No Uniform" zone! I tried calling him to see exactly where he was this morning, but the call didn't go through so I am assuming he is in tranzit.....YYEEESSSS!

Holly, I just am so happy it feels unbelievable! The poor guy is going to be so tired...and yet, our 8yr old daughter is his buddy and they love to play games together. Well, I have been playing games with her, but I don't think I am as fun as him, because she already has a game set up so they can play right away .... the poor guy, but she has missed him so much....and she has been such a trooper too. Never complained, always perky and happy...she is going to be beside herself when she sees him.

Thank you all for your heatwarming wishes...and thank you all for being my diversion through this time....I have family and friends here, but the positivness of the board and the warmth was truly what I needed even though I don't post too much. I truly wish I knew you all personally -- you know in person -- thank you for everything. Hugs, Erica

Erica,

I know that feeling! YEAH! The first time hubby came home from Iraq on R&R we were in the States as he wasn't supposed to get leave so I had to move up our hop back to Germany several days -- praying and thinking you better find me 5 seats on this plane NOW! but it went smoothly and we had a lovely time in Garmish, etc.

Have a wonderful time --- try to go with the flow and give him a day or two to decompress before you head places. Mine couldn't remember how to get to Walmart or anywhere else in Giessen so I drove everyewhere the first week he was home after that he was fine.

Blessings to you both,

Holly
