Thank goodness she wasn't there. They took her TV, safe and all of her Avon jewelry (they missed her good stuff). The sad thing is that the sheriff office didn't even send anyone out, just took the report over the phone because the have been so many break ins!

She lives near Benton, AR and there has been a huge influx of people from Little Rock because of the schools. Apparently they have brought some of the crime too.

She got all the locks changed and is checking into a security system. She thinks it might have been the guys renting the tailer near her. She says they wear long black coats and alway carry a man-purse with them. Also lots of visitors that don't stay long.

She has mention the migrant population too. I live in Baton Rouge and we there are gypsies that come through our area every spring.

I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt's house being robbed! That is such a scary thing to have happen! I am glad she wasn't hurt and hopefully everything that was taken can be replaced.

Benton has a very high migrant population too. The whole area had hasld a lot of crime due to this as well.

Oh,no! How awful! That is such a creepy feeling knowing that someone was in your home, going through your things. Definitely get those locks changed!

remember to get the locks changed too, just in case they took keys.
we had a friend who's house was broke into, the robbers took nothing, just riffled through the woman's old school papers, took no jewelry, no money, no electronics, but they put the dog into its doggy crate and a set of spare keys was missing!(weird!) So..my friend of course changed all the locks...no one was home at the time either in this case.
So glad that your aunt is safe.

How frightening, Dennise! I, too, am so glad that your Aunt is safe. I'm sure she'll need lots of support. My home was once robbed when I lived alone. It was so scary to go back and sleep at night. I kept thinking they might come back. Of course, they never did but it took me a while to feel safe again.

Blessings, Lea

Dennise,

I'm glad your aunt wasn't home and was not hurt. I'm sorry that happened, I know it must have been scary for her coming in to find someone had broken into her home.
